Eni Aluko Was Wrong to Criticise Ian Wright

Women’s football media has recently been the centre of a storm in recent days. Last week, former Lionesses star Eni Aluko appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour programme and criticised Ian Wright for his wide-ranging coverage of women’s football.

Aluko said she’d worked with Wright "a long time and, you know, I think he's a brilliant broadcaster, but I think he's aware of just how much he's doing in the women's game. I think he should be aware of that”.

Eight (Other) Newsletters You Should be Reading

Yesterday evening, I had the pleasure of being part of an event about newsletters put on by The Media Society (of which I am a vice president). Joining me on the panel were Stephen Bush (Financial Times), Charlotte Tobitt (Press Gazette) and one of the writers behind the Doomberg newsletter. (They appear anonymously in public.) The organisation’s president Nigel Dacre chaired the event and it got me thinking about all the great newsletters that are out there. Accordingly, I thought I’d recommend some to read, once you've finished with The Addition, of course. (Take it as a given you should read those by Stephen, Press Gazetteand Doomberg!)
